When my friend had first moved to the UK, he called me and told me that he loved it there. He said that real estate was pretty cheap, and he also told me that most of the people there were very friendly. The only problem my friend had was finding a decent job. My friend was an engineer in America and he wanted to find some type of job that he was used to doing. My friend talked to a bunch of companies and he said they were great, but they did not offer the salary that my friend wanted and they also didn’t have any benefits. I then searched the internet for some jobs that my friend would be interested in and I then told my friend to look for some railway jobs. My friend thought that this was a great idea because his former American company did work with railways. After a couple weeks my friend called me and told me that he was very happy!

People have the bad idea that a pharmacy technician is just a doctor that did not finish school and then ended up landing a pharmacist job. If he passes, he can get a job anywhere that a pharmacy technician is needed and the salary will be really high.

This was exactly the type of career I was looking for. Unfortunately, I was having trouble getting interviews. I searched online and found a great message board for UK actuary jobs. A short time after joining, I found an actuary recruitment company. They were able to get me my first interview. I went on a few more interviews, until I found a company that was a good fit for me. They made me an offer and I just accepted it. I start next week. I can’t believe that less than half a year ago, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life and now I’m starting a career!

It seemed that you learned a great variety of things at dental hygienist schools. Dental hygiene was something that not everybody knew about. People brushed their teeth and flossed as well, but this did not mean they knew all about oral hygiene. In my school, I was taught that a dental hygienists duty is not only to engage in cleaning and treatment procedures for teeth, but also educate patients. I learned that if I was cleaning or diagnosing someone teeth, I should talk to him and explain to him what the problem was and how to deal with it. At first, I thought that this would spoil business, because if everybody handled their own dental hygiene no one would come to the hygienist! But then I realized that it was dental hygienists duty to make sure his patients knew how to handle their own problems. As for business, I didn’t have to worry.
