Where to Find Great Craft Patterns Online

Carlton Hibbert DesignWhether you’re looking for a crochet baby shoes pattern or a pattern for knitted gloves, finding great craft patterns online can be a challenge. Too many of the sites that link to craft patterns don’t provide pictures so you can see what the item looks like. Instead of clicking back and forth from one page to another, try these great sources of craft patterns:

1. Ravelry. All kinds of crafters gather together on Ravelry, and there is a pattern database that rivals no other. You can see pictures of the completed projects, and popular projects may have dozens of photos posted by other crafters who have tried the pattern before you. Some of the patterns are free, while others are available for sale from the designer.

2. Etsy. For original patterns that often aren’t available elsewhere, try Etsy. Many amateur designers place their patterns for sale on this site, so you’ll see some truly original work.

3. Pinterest. This photo-sharing site is also a good place to find craft patterns and projects. People will often pin project patterns and tutorials as they find them online, and searching on Pinterest is a good way to find them.
